FRIENDS FOR LIFE PROGRAM
The goal of the UAF’s Friends for Life Program is to assist people who are having trouble keeping their companion animals in their home. We believe there are three major reasons pet guardians feel they are unable to keep their pets - they cannot afford pet food, the animal misbehaves, or they cannot afford veterinary costs.

UAF has working programs in place aimed at alleviating each of these concerns, thus allowing pets to stay with their family. Our
Pet Food Bank provides free food to families in need. We have knowledgeable volunteers, and work with professional trainers, who can advise families how to change unwanted behaviors through positive reinforcement training. Our Veterinary Fund assists qualified families with Veterinary costs. UAF accepts donations for all three of these programs.

Pets belong with the families that love them, and UAF helps them stay there.
