Through registration via the Internet at www.foodstampsforhorses.com/application, we are establishing a way for horse owners to keep their horses by providing benefits that will be distributed as funds to individual owners in a manner ensuring that those funds will be used to purchase food and hay. Eligible owners that are unemployed or are facing financial hardships can fill out an on-line application. Once approved, the horse can stay with its private owner. Most of the money for this project is obtained through private donations, grants or by selling ads and sponsorships on our website.
